Annual Report to the Organized Medical Staff(s) (OMS) and the Governing Body(s) |
| PURPOSE: |

To report on the activities of the Education and Research Committee/GMEC. |
| POLICY: |
|
The Director of Medical Education/DIO shall compile an annual report within three months of the end of the academic year and present it to all appropriate bodies with copies to the members of the Education and Research Committee/GMEC. |
Procedure
- The Director of Medical Education/DIO shall present an annual report to the Organized Medical Staff(s) (OMS) and the governing body(s) of the major participating JCAHO-accredited hospitals in which our sponsored GME programs are conducted.
- The annual report will include a review of the activities of the Education and Research Committee/GMEC with attention to:
- Resident supervision
- Resident responsibilities
- Resident evaluation
- Compliance at AIMMC and participating hospitals with duty-hour standards.
- In order to facilitate the compiling of the annual report, each program director will complete the attached annual program report.
- The annual report to the OMS(s) and governing body(s) will also include a summary of Institutional Citations in Accreditation Letters and the measures taken to address them.
