Momentum is building for Trinity’s New Intensive Care Unit. In fact, Advocate Health Care has approved $17 million in funding to expand Trinity’s ICU!
Currently Trinity’s primary service area is one of the highest in terms of prevalence of stroke, cancer and vascular disease, yet the hospital has the lowest ratio of ICU beds to overall medical-surgical beds within Advocate.
"This is an exciting time for Advocate Trinity Hospital within the Intensive Care Unit," said Dr. Dianna Grant, vice president of medical management at Advocate Trinity Hospital. "We are so looking forward to expanding the ICU to enhance the services provided to the community."
During construction, Trinity will be adding 12 new ICU beds, making room for a total of 24 ICU beds. The expansion will allow for one medical and one surgical ICU.
