Cardiovascular Diagnostics
Cardiovascular diagnostic equipment and help the board-certified cardiologists at Advocate Trinity Hospital determine the type and extent of a patient’s heart disease or vascular condition design the best treatment plan. Diagnostics include noninvasive tests such as those using X-ray technology to examine the heart and arteries without surgery. Cardiac Rehabilitation: A Three-Phase Program
The three-phase cardiac rehabilitation program offered at Advocate Trinity Hospital is designed to help patients who have undergone cardiac procedures such as surgery or angioplasty, suffered a heart attack or have other heart problems, with recovery. Our fully accredited rehabilitation program uses safe, monitored exercise, education and lifestyle modification to help individuals regain their strength and resume their lifestyle. This important program is open to all cardiac patients with a physician referral, regardless of whether they have received prior care at Trinity Hospital.
Congestive Heart Failure Treatment
Trinity Hospital also offers comprehensive services for the treatment and management of congestive heart failure (CHF). Congestive heart failure care and interventions provided by Trinity Hospital are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and follow the guidelines of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. Our Heart Failure Support Group is part of a JCAHO accredited Advocate Health Care CHF clinical excellence initiative to improve the quality of life for patients diagnosed with CHF through education and emotional, physical and spiritual support.
Pediatric Cardiology Clinic
Pediatric heart disease patients benefit from a special Pediatric Cardiology Clinic offered at Advocate Trinity Hospital. The clinic provides diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for children with congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease. The weekly clinic is staffed by a pediatric cardiologist from the renowned Heart Institute for Children, headquartered at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital.
