Libertyville, IL — As of today (April 23, 2015), women have another option for scheduling mammograms in Lake County.
Advocate Condell Medical Center has opened Advocate Condell Grayslake Women’s Imaging Center. It is at: Advocate Medical Office Building 1170 East Belvidere Road – Suite 107 Grayslake, Illinois
With this opening, Advocate Condell has three locations for women to schedule mammograms. In addition to Grayslake, mammograms are performed at Advocate Condell Medical Center’s Women’s Center, located in the hospital at the Libertyville campus, 801 South Milwaukee Avenue, and at Advocate Condell Outpatient Imaging Center, 1435 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.
The latest technology for detecting breast cancer is now available at Advocate Condell’s Women’s Center at the hospital. 3D mammography is an advanced tool for finding breast cancer early, when it is most treatable.
Women can call 708-304-9393 to schedule their same-day mammograms. As with all screening mammograms, no physician’s order is needed.
The American Cancer Society estimates almost 232,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer and about 60,000 new cases of the earliest form of breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the United States this year. Roughly 40,000 women will die from breast cancer in 2015.
