Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center Named Among Best in Illinois by U.S. News & World Report

Chicago, Ill.: Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center has been named among the finest in Chicago and Illinois, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2017-2018 Best Hospitals list.

The U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, now in its 28th year, evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide and are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care. The methodologies include readmission rates, patient experience and safety, quality of nursing care and other care-related indicators.

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center nabbed a spot as one of the top 25 best hospitals in Illinois. Specifically, the organization placed #18 in Illinois and #15 in the Chicago Metro Area. Illinois Masonic was also named among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for urologic care and recognized as a high-performing hospital in orthopedics and for several common procedures, including heart failure and colon cancer surgery.

In addition to Illinois Masonic, five other Advocate hospitals were honored with a Top Hospital recognition including Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge; Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove; Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin; and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. All six sites were named among the top 20 in the Chicago metro area.
