OAKBROOK, ILL., July 21, 2026 – Advocate Health Care invested $1.57 billion in community benefit in 2025 — more than $4 million each day — reflecting its continued commitment to supporting patients and communities across Illinois.

It reflects our commitment to showing up for our communities in ways that help people get and stay well.”
Advocate Health Care is part of Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States and one of the nation’s leading providers of community benefit. The Illinois investment represents a portion of Advocate Health’s $6.27 billion in community benefit in 2025. Since its formation in 2022, Advocate Health has reported more than $24 billion in community benefit.
Advocate Health Care also supports its communities by providing free and discounted care for patients with limited financial resources, as well as delivering undercompensated care for those covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
Across the communities it serves in Illinois, Advocate Health Care directs its community benefit investments toward improving access to care, supporting physical and behavioral health, and addressing basic needs such as food and housing.
This work brings care closer to home and supports patients both inside and outside traditional care settings through:
- Primary Care Connection, which links patients in emergency and inpatient settings to follow-up care through community health workers, served nearly 14,000 patients and provided more than 21,000 referrals in 2025.
- Ronald McDonald Care Mobile units provided preventive care to nearly 3,700 children, delivering more than 6,800 immunizations and more than 1,700 physicals for uninsured and Medicaid patients in 2025.
- Mobile health initiatives expanded access to cardiometabolic screenings and education, serving more than 1,500 people through 117 community events and site visits in partnership with 50 organizations in 2025.
