Downers Grove, Ill. – Advocate Health Care has once again been named one of Chicago’s Top Workplaces by the Chicago Tribune.
The newspaper defines a Top Workplace as an “organization that is successful because its employees enjoy their work, embrace their mission and feel like valued teammates.”
“Our associates, nurses and physicians are the backbone of our organization. We are proud of the connection they feel to our Mission, Values and Philosophy,” said Jim Skogsbergh, president and chief executive officer of Advocate Health Care. “We thank our more than 35,000 dedicated team members for their unwavering commitment to our health care ministry.”
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on associate feedback surveys conducted by Energage, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Advocate associates were randomly selected to take part in this year’s annual survey, giving Advocate high marks for its culture of high performance and clear direction for the future, among other benefits.
The positive feedback places Advocate, which has more than 35,000 associates, among the top 25 largest companies in metro Chicago to achieve the recognition.
This is the sixth time that Advocate has earned the honor. Earlier this year, Advocate was named among the Best Places to Work in Illinois by the Daily Herald.
