Downers Grove, IL and Milwaukee, WI — Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, 16 Advocate Aurora Health hospitals have been named to the U.S. News & World Report 2019-2020 Best Hospitals list, announced today.
Of those, 10 hospitals are distinguished as Best Regional Hospitals. For the third consecutive year, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center claimed the top spot in Southeastern Wisconsin and second in the state.

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee and Aurora Medical Center Grafton in Grafton ranked in the Top 10 in Wisconsin. Three Advocate sites ranked in the Top 10 in Illinois: Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
U.S. News separately named Advocate Children’s Hospital in June to the prestigious Best Children’s Hospitals national rankings, bringing the total number of recognized Advocate Aurora Health hospitals to 17 this year.
In 2019-2020, U.S. News recognized: Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Christ Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center in Summit, Aurora Medical Center Bay Area, Aurora Medical Center in Washington County and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
For the 2019-2020 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in various specialties, procedures and conditions. Their methodology is based on measures of quality such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other care-related indicators.
