It's common for new moms to experience feelings of sadness, anxiety or confusion mixed with irritability. However, if these symptoms get worse or last for more than a few weeks, postpartum depression becomes a concern. Our experts take this concern very seriously and are proactive in screening new and expectant mothers during their prenatal care as well as during the postpartum period. Talk to your doctor if you have symptoms. If at any time you believe you're experiencing an emergency situation, call 911 right away.
