Required learning experiences:
- Orientation (4-6 weeks)
- General Pediatrics I and II (each 4 weeks)
- Neonatal ICU I and II (each 4 weeks)
- Pediatric ICU I and II (each 4 weeks)
- Pediatric hematology/oncology (6 weeks)
- Pediatric ID (4 weeks)
- Pediatric Cardiac ICU (4 weeks)
- Pediatric administration and leadership (4 weeks)
- Continuing Education Presentation (12 weeks)
- SPS adverse drug event committee (Longitudinal - 48 weeks)
- Research project (Longitudinal - 48 weeks)
- Clinical weekend staffing (Longitudinal - 48 weeks)
Elective learning experiences:
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Investigational Drug Service

Resident qualifications:
At a minimum, the resident candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for selection:
- Expected to complete or successful completion of an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Obtained Pharm.D. (or equivalent) from an ACPE-Accredited College of Pharmacy in the United States
- Eligible for Illinois licensure
- Currently a citizen of the United States (ALGH does not sponsor H1B or equivalent Work Visas)
- Interview
