Anesthesiology Clerkship
The Department of Anesthesiology offers a comprehensive four-week clerkship for fourth-year medical students from LCME- or AOA-accredited U.S. medical schools. At this time, we are unable to accept international students or visiting observers.
During the rotation, students will gain hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of perioperative care, including:
- Preoperative evaluation
- Intraoperative anesthetic management
- Postoperative and pain management
Our curriculum includes:
- Simulation-based training
- Faculty-led lectures
- Keyword-based learning sessions
- Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) conferences
- Grand Rounds presentations
Students are introduced to the diverse subspecialties within anesthesiology and will also have the option to pursue a dedicated Pain Management rotation.
We welcome your interest and encourage you to explore all our program has to offer. For more information or to apply, please contact:

Residency Application Process & Signaling
For medical students applying to our Anesthesiology Residency Program, please be sure to utilize program signaling through ERAS.
We use signals as part of our initial application review process to identify applicants who have a strong interest in our program. However, please note:
- Signaling does not guarantee an interview as we receive significantly more signals than we have interview slots available.
- Once interview invitations are issued, all signaling information is removed from applications to ensure a blind, unbiased interview process.
- Our selection process remains holistic and considers a wide range of factors beyond signaling.
We look forward to reviewing your application and appreciate your interest in joining our dynamic and supportive residency community.
