Welcome to the Illinois Masonic Family Medicine Residency website! I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re just starting to explore our program or using this as a resource during interview season, I hope this gives you a real sense of who we are and what makes our community special.

At Masonic, we truly are a family. We work hard, learn deeply, and support one another every step of the way. Our goal is to help each resident grow into a confident, capable, and compassionate Family Physician who is ready to thrive in whatever practice setting they choose after graduation.

Our faculty are not only leaders in our hospital and in the broader Family Medicine community, but they are also genuinely invested in mentoring and inspiring our residents. Their diverse interests and experiences create an incredible learning environment where you can explore your own passions and begin to shape the kind of career that is most meaningful to you.

Family Medicine offers so many ways to make a difference, including patient care, hospital or outpatient leadership, community advocacy, and policy work. I deeply believe that nurturing your personal and professional growth is one of the most important parts of residency training, and it is something we take to heart here.
