Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center is a not-for-profit, tertiary-care teaching hospital that combines the resources of a major academic medical center with a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program has been fully accredited since 1946, reflecting a long-standing tradition of excellence in graduate medical education. Throughout this time, our focus has remained both simple and steadfast: to educate, empower, and inspire future obstetrician-gynecologists to provide exceptional, compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and their families and communities.
Our residency program provides comprehensive training across the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology - including all of the OBGYN subspecialities. While most of our core rotations are completed on the main campus, we partner with select community affiliates to provide focal experience in select sub-specialties such as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Complex Family Planning. Our residents benefit from a structured educational environment with exposure to the full breadth of women's healthcare. We believe that exceptional physicians are developed through graduated responsibility, hands-on experience, and meaningful mentorship. Our curriculum is designed to foster progressive independence while ensuring residents are supported by a community of faculty, nurses, administrators, staff and residents who are committed to their professional and personal growth.
