Stipends & Allowances
- Flexible Professional Education Expenses Fund Allowance = $3000 per year
- Fellows are eligible for up to five paid education days at the discretion of the program director.
- Meal stipend of $1,500
Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Residents and fellows are entitled to 28 days (224 hours) of Paid Time Off (PTO), which includes six (6) days designated for national holidays recognized by Advocate Health Midwest or alternative holidays. Any requests for PTO must be coordinated with and approved by the program director or their designee.
Insurance
- A resident or fellow may select any medical, dental and vision health care insurance plans offered by the Advocate Health Care System. Coverage becomes effective from the first day of training.
- Disability and life insurance benefits.
- Residents and fellows are covered by the system’s professional malpractice liability insurance for all required training related to hospital activities.
