Fellow benefits

Salary, stipends, and allowances

• Salary: PGY 4- $79,500, PGY 5- $83,750 and PGY 6- $87,000.
• Chief fellow stipend up to $4,000.
• Flexible Professional Education Expenses Fund Allowance - $3,000
• Eligible to receive 5 days of paid education time per year.
• On call meal allowance of $1,500 per academic year.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

• 28 PTO days/year (224 hours) including 3 days for unplanned absences per year. Unused days do not accumulate from year to year.

Insurance

• Fellows may select any medical, dental and vision health care insurance plans offered by the Advocate Health Care System. Coverage becomes effective from the first day of training.
• Disability and life insurance benefits.
• Fellows are covered by the system’s professional malpractice liability insurance for all required training related hospital activities.
