Family Medicine Center
Advocate Medical Group Family Medicine Center - Ravenswood serves as our residency training site, providing comprehensive, family-centered care to patients of all ages in the Ravenswood community. Our integrated resident and faculty practice fosters a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and shared responsibility, creating an ideal environment for residents to develop the clinical skills and professional relationships essential to family medicine.
Our three-year Family Medicine Residency Program offers broad-based training across the continuum of care, with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness, women's health, pediatric care, adult medicine, and geriatric care. Residents participate in longitudinal continuity clinic experiences, with 1 to 2 clinic sessions per week during the first year and increasing continuity clinic responsibilities throughout the second and third years.
The program provides unique opportunities for hands-on learning and procedural training. Residents gain experience in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), a wide variety of office-based procedures, collaborative behavioral health care through co-visits with our behavioral health faculty, and a home visit program that expands understanding of patients' health needs within their own environments. A multidisciplinary team approach reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care for the communities we serve.
