Medical Student Elective Rotations
Four-week elective rotations are offered to Fourth Year Medical Students in the following three subspecialities:
-
Benign Gynecology (MIGS, URPS, GYN surgery)
-
Gynecology Oncology
-
Maternal Fetal Medicine
Applications for the elective rotations are accepted from January 1 – March 15 of the preceding academic year. Applications received after March 15 will be automatically placed on the waitlist. Students will be notified of a decision in early April.
The selection process is very competitive. Completing an elective rotation does not guarantee an interview for residency. However, clinical performance on the elective rotation will be taken into consideration when reviewing residency applications.
All elective rotations are filled for the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year.
Rotation dates for the 2027 – 2028 Academic Year are:
- July 5 – July 30, 2027
- August 2 – August 27, 2027
- August 30 – September 24, 2027
- September 27 – October 22, 2027
To be considered for a rotation, please send the following documents consolidated into one PDF file:
- Current CV
- All USMLE and/or COMLEX score reports, including first attempts and any retakes
- A brief narrative (maximum 200 words) describing your interest in pursuing Obstetrics and Gynecology
